Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village, formerly known as Diofor Diogu Village, is one of the historic villages in Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community, located in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria. The village shares boundaries with Okpokowa, Dioribe, Umudioma Villages, and Achara Community. It is widely recognized for its rich cultural heritage, peaceful coexistence, and strong communal values.

The village traces its ancestral origin to Pa Okere, one of the fourteen brothers who founded the fourteen villages that make up Amiyi Akah Autonomous Community. Pa Okere was blessed with five sons: Gbenti, Okpokowa, Diofor, Dioribe, and Diogu. Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village descended from Diofor and Diogu, whose descendants have continued to preserve the traditions, values, and identity of the community across generations.

Today, the village is made up of four major kindreds:

• Duruarosoukwu Kindred

• Duruojinnaka Kindred

• Durukembuo Kindred

• Mgbenaeme Kindred

These four kindreds form the foundation of Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village and remain united through their shared ancestry, culture, and commitment to community development.

Historically, the people of Chinyereihe Chinyereaku practiced traditional religion and faithfully observed the customs handed down by their forefathers. Over the years, Christianity became firmly established within the community, and today the village is predominantly Christian while still preserving many of its cultural traditions and ancestral heritage.

The primary languages spoken in the village are Igbo and English, enabling effective communication within the community and beyond.

Agriculture has always played an important role in the lives of the people. In earlier generations, farming, animal husbandry, palm wine tapping, and trading were the principal occupations. The fertile land produced abundant crops such as yam, cassava, cocoyam, vegetables, and other agricultural produce, while livestock including goats, sheep, and poultry provided additional means of livelihood.

As the community has continued to grow and develop, many sons and daughters of Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village have excelled in various professions, including business, civil service, engineering, science, technology, construction, sports, and entrepreneurship. Today, members of the village contribute meaningfully to society both within Nigeria and across the world.

The cultural life of the village remains vibrant and deeply rooted in tradition. The people proudly preserve their cultural identity through traditional ceremonies and performances, particularly the renowned Oghu Cultural Dance, alongside modern cultural activities that strengthen unity and celebrate their heritage.

The history of Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village is also marked by courage and resilience. In earlier times, many of the village's men were respected warriors, known for their bravery, physical strength, and ability to defend their community. Their reputation extended beyond neighbouring communities, where they were often invited to assist in defending territories during communal conflicts.

Hospitality has always been one of the defining characteristics of the people. The forefathers were known for their generosity, brotherhood, and spirit of togetherness. Palm wine was freely shared among family members, friends, and visitors as a symbol of friendship and unity rather than for commercial purposes. These enduring values continue to shape the character of the village today.

Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village practices a democratic system of administration that encourages inclusive leadership, transparency, and active community participation in matters affecting the welfare and development of the village.

The village maintains several active community organizations that promote development, preserve cultural values, and strengthen unity among its people. These include:

The affairs of Chinyereihe Chinyereaku Village are currently administered by dedicated community leaders.
